What is a combo bet and how does it work?
In a combo bet two or more single picks are linked into one bet. The total odds are the product of all the individual odds:

With a $30 stake this treble pays out $111.49. If one pick loses, the whole bet is normally lost – unless you use protection such as Bet Insurance.
Combo bet – one leg wrong: what now?
It's the most common frustration with combos: three of four picks land, one doesn't – and the slip is lost. That's exactly what the Combo Space Bet Insurance 4-1 is for: on combos with 4 to 10 picks you get part of your stake back if exactly one pick misses – 20% on a 4-fold, 50% on an 8-fold, 100% from a 10-fold.
Combo bet strategy: how the AI builds its combo
- Value picks only: each pick must have an edge over the odds on its own – combos multiply disadvantages too.
- Independent picks: no two markets from the same match; prefer different leagues or sports.
- Minimum odds 1.40: that way every pick counts for Combo Space; very short favourites add little anyway.
- 3–4 picks as standard: a good balance of odds and hit rate. Bigger combos only with Bet Insurance.
- Fixed stake: never raise the stake to recover losses.
Combo bet: match abandoned or postponed
If a match is abandoned or postponed, most bookmakers settle that pick at odds of 1.00 – the combo continues with the remaining picks. The exact rules are in the bookmaker's terms; above all, check whether the combo still meets the minimum number of picks for a promotion.
